We believe that this is a unique idea in that not only are the competitors competing for themselves but they are competing for Leinster, Munster, Connaught and Ulster as well.

There are two separate days of competition using the full tarmac track options of Mondello and competitors will complete six runs over two stages on both the Saturday and the Sunday. All times will count towards individual scores and prizes will be awarded for each day’s event. Those finishers in the top ten places in each class each day will also score points for their province and the total of these points over the two days will determine the first ever Irish Inter-Provincial Champions.

The entry fee for competitors is a modest €100 per day and competitors can enter for one day or both. The plan is to now bring our formula of safe affordable Rallysport which has been very successful in Ulster over the last nine years, to competitors in the rest of the country. Competitors do not require a competition licence but all adults must possess a full road driving licence and all cars must be built to the straightforward and easy to understand RSA regulations which can be found on-line.

There are nine classes including WRC, Specials, Race and Rally cars and there are also front wheel drive classes for the younger competitor from the age of 12 who can also compete but must have adult supervision.

The Rallysport Association is fully insured by a major national insurer and have successfully organised in the region of 140 rally sprint events in the last 9 years. This latest development is not only great news to the ‘credit crunched’ competitor but also great news for motorsport businesses throughout the country.
